About Hay Holler
Hay Holler Records, a recording label located in Blacksburg,
Virginia, was founded in 1990. We are a relatively small corporation whose principals
manage and execute the day-to-day business activities as well as maintaining
hands-on involvement in all recording projects. The sole purpose and charter
for our label is to preserve and perpetuate authentic, traditional, bluegrass
music through recording some of those few artists who are still playing "thereal thing."We are proud to have released recordings by the Goins Brothers, Herschel Sizemore, the Gillis Brothers, Sand Mountain, James Price, the Lilly Brothers & Don Stover, Wayne Henderson, Butch Robins, 5 For The Gospel, the Gibson Brothers, Junior Barber, Big Country Bluegrass, Lost Highway, John Rigsby, Lynwood Lunsford, Billie Joe Foster, Bluegerass Brothers and Tommy Brown & County Line Grass among others.And we continue to seek out those artists, old and new, who are performing bluegrass music in the "original style." While
continuing to play bluegrass in the vein in which it was intended by the originators
and pioneers of the genre, these artists keep the music fresh and exciting with
their own stamps of individuality.
